Bangalore’s Fabric Paradise: Nala Bazar

Bangalore is a Metropolitan City where Commercial Street is one of the busiest shopping centre .The market called “NALA BAZAR” which is in Commercial Street is known for its variety of fabrics in various designs, colours and textures. This is one stop destination for all your fabric needs. A best place to buy any kind of fabrics at an affordable price.

Satin gives glossy look to the fabric, comfortable to wear and not too expensive. These fabrics are basically imported from China. It is used by both men and women, for example: men’s ties and women’s fashionable scarves, women’s night gowns, lingerie and men’s boxer shorts, shirts, variety of accessories. Other use includes interior furnishing fabrics and bed sheets, thus giving a lustrous look to the fabric.

Brocade is beautiful and elegant, with exquisite designs. Highly expensive to purchase, it is usually made with silk and is used as an indication of status for ceremonial events. Eye-catching animal prints - which has been seen on everything from coats, handbags, accessories, t-shirts and more, it’s a super easy way to add some sizzle and glamour to any fashion look! Polka dot prints have a retro feel to it and can be worn by both men and women. And, of course heart prints. They make you fall in love again.

Vocal Local

In the busy streets of Bangalore we came across people who had a simple dressing sense but which had a great cultural heritage behind it …and these clothes are given a lot of importance by the society and it’s an indication of the city’s pride.
No one can think of a combination of a leather jacket with a lungi, but he did. The lungi has checks print in it and the look has different colour combinations in his attire over all. He wore the leather Jacket over the shirt, securing it with pins was not his choice but the situation. The Saree which she was wearing had tints and shades going from pink to blue; complementing it with golden bangles and a nose pin which added a traditional look to it.
63 year old Rajasthani man wearing a classic attire with white kurta, dhoti, bandhini pagadi (safa) on his head and wore mojadis(shoes) . The attitude which he carries goes along with his style. His take on life:” Mandir todna , Masjid todna lekin kisika dil ni todna.” (Break mosques or  break temples but never break anyone’s heart.)
A style is the answer to everything, when it’s the matter of style and principle, stand like a rock. The person is selling dholaks, and is seen wearing a camouflage print T-shirt and manages to grab eyes with his simple style.

The Brigade-Aid

On a bright sunny day, we decided to hit the streets of the infamous Brigade Road in our beautiful city of gardens, Bangalore. Names change (hinting at the recent name reversal of the airport), the city advances, people migrate in and out, but what does not seem to have changed is the fashion we see all around. People are free souls here; they wear what they absolutely love. This one is dedicated to the spirit of these times and the ever-so-fashionable people in the city.
These neonish printed pants attracted our attention right in the middle of the streets. The unique tribal look and the geometric pattern are enhanced by two very bright colors yellow and blue. This one immediately grabs your attention with its bright hues and unique African prints.
A unisex shirt with classic checks on display ideal for casual wear, team up with a yellow bag, can used by both sexes. The bag and shirt greatly complement each other giving a stylish casual look. A very simple look but still catches the eye.
This metallic necklace was our next pick from the streets of Brigade Road.  You can see intricate designs on the tiny multiple pendants and also the two strands of the choker. The USP of the pendent is the old classy yet chic look that was a perfect pick for the day for the lovely lady and us.
A student from Bangalore, she wore grunge inspired jeans, tattered of course with boots, the real solid kinds and carried an animal print sling bag. The versatility she displayed in her style when put this way definitely catches eye.
These elaborate pair of earrings with geometric design and neutral color combination has a nice edge to it. Looks are dissipative; as this earring has no weight even though it is made up of metal, can be used has accessories with any casual clothing.  It’s simple yet unique and at the same time makes a fashion statement.
